Tears For Fears abre turnê brasileira em Porto Alegre

Depois de 15 anos sem aparecer por aqui, uma das duplas de mais sucesso dos anos 80 fez apresentação inédita. Estamos falando de Tears For Fears. Formada por Roland Orzabal (vocal e guitarra) e Curt Smith (vocal e baixo), na sua última apresentação em 1996 no Gigantinho, Curt Smith estava afastado da banda. A dupla decidiu se reunir em 2003. 

Entre 1980 e 1990, eles venderam mais de 30 milhões de discos. Orzabal e Smith também arrecadaram vários discos de ouro e de platina ao longo de sua trajetória. 

A Tears For Fears passou a fazer sucesso em território nacional e ao redor do mundo no início dos anos 80 quando lançaram o single, Everybody Wants to Rule The World, que acabou virando primeiro lugar nas paradas americanas. E também não por coincidência, foi a música que a dupla escolheu para dar início à sua turnê brasileira que aconteceu aqui em Porto Alegre, no Pepsi On Stage, na noite de 04 de outubro. 

Um dos momentos inesperados do show foi quando Orzabal, após cantar Sowing The Seeds Of Love, falou em Português, cumprimentando o público. Ele disse: - "Boa noite, Porto Alegre, estamos muito felizes de estar aqui". A plateia aplaudiu feliz e respondeu acompanhando a melodia.

Perto do final do show, Tears For Fears saiu do palco, a plateia ficou pedindo bis enquanto não parava de gritar com cartazes em mãos, e finalmente, como já era de se esperar, eles retornaram. E como não poderia faltar, a incrível balada de sucesso da dupla, Woman In Chains:

E atendendo à súplica dos fãs, uma das mais requisitadas, encerrou ali uma inesquecível noite anos 80, com Shout.

Roland e Smith também já passaram por apresentações em São Paulo no dia 06/10, no Rio de Janeiro dia 08/10 e em Belo Horizonte dia 09/10. A dupla se apresenta hoje, 11/10 no Centro de Convenções de Brasília e em Fortaleza no Siara Hall dia 15/10, encerrando por lá sua turnê de shows pelo Brasil.
